STONE SOUP COFFEEHOUSE, So. Amherst, MA ~CONCERT REVIEW:
“Sarah Blacker, a singer/songwriter, performed in my living room on November 19.  I try not to overuse superlatives, but she made it difficult.  Over one hundred musicians and storytellers have brought pleasure to my home as part of my living room concert series, and she stood out.  And not just because Sarah was one of my talented third graders about thirteen years ago.
Sarah’s sparkling tones distracted me from her lyrics which also showed admirable spirit and thought. She also dazzled my PCA, Laura.
We sat for two hours and my only complaint was that she stopped after two hours. She was tired, probably. She’d come here from the Boston area and had to drive back.  It took a lot of energy for me to force myself to admit that I was tired.  But, reality struck and as long as she promised to come again, I let her go.
If any host of a concert series coffee house, church basement, or concert hall is lucky enough to have her perform there they’d be crazy not to take the opportunity.  I’ve had a few well known performers show up here and they were good too. Sarah brought us a gift that put fame and money in the backseat.  You’d be crazy not to invite her to your venue.”~Bob Blue, host, folk singer/songwriter, former elementary school teacher, former children’s musicians’ network president.
