SB recently visited 88.9 WERS FM studios in Boston, and Jake Sorgen, who conducted the interview, captured the essence of SB’s career as a singer/songwriter, as well as in Music Therapy.
He wrote: “Blacker’s conversational style flows very much like her music. She goes from being jovial to producing intriguing—almost meditative statements like the one above with poetic ease. Her insight and interest in the transformative power of music, which she has gained through her work as a music therapist, is always present in her lyrics.”

The New Album is coming right along! We’re very excited to share the 12 songs with you come late fall! Drums have been tracked by the amazing, Michael Calabrese on 4 songs so far,
(’Come What May,’ ‘Knocked the Winds,’ ‘Friend,’ and ‘Drivin’)
and next up, we’ll be heading into the studio with Session Americana to record, ‘Cowboy!’
Greetings to you all, it sure is a hot one today!
I’m finally getting over my nasty cold, and got to do some grocery shopping today, which means I’ll actually be home for more than a day or two in a row. I’m very excited to eat fruit and veggies, fresh from my very own fridge!
Just two more Tuesdays at TOAD in Cambridge, MA and then my month-long residency concludes itself.
